        In order to work high school varsity, jv and freshman games, the referee
must be certified (and recertify) with the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA).

        Go to www.mhsaa.com. The steps are listed to become a Michigan High School referee. You also must be a member in good standing of an approved referee
association.

         The West Michigan Soccer Officials Assocation (www.wmsoa.org) is the approved referee association in west Michigan. This association assigns referees to high school games, conducts training, field exercises, and assesses officials during games.You also receive high school assigments from this organization.
